Bi-Monthly Meetings

All meetings are held at Hest Bank Memorial Hall, Slyne-with-Hest, near Lancaster on the 2nd Tuesday of each alternate month and begin at 7.30 p.m. Most meetings comprise a short, general meeting followed by a speaker. There is also time for tea/coffee & biscuit plus a social chat. Non-members are very welcome but we hope you enjoy yourself so much that you will wish to join NLBS!

2015 Annual ride 26th April 2015

The NLBS Annual Ride will take place on Sunday 26th April 2015 from Greenlands Farm near junction 35 of the M6. The route is approximately 15 miles along bridleways and lanes. The entry fee is £20 to include bacon bun and hot drink. Download the entry form here (PDF) (DOC).

TREC Competition - Saturday 6th June and Sunday 7th June 2015 from Cartmel Racecourse, Grange over Sands, Cumbria

Level 1 and 2 Affiliated British TREC Competition - Everyone welcome.  The venue is a small village with the Racecourse at the centre of the village.  Level 1 is suitable for those who have little or no TREC experience.  The venue is a great opportunity to test your orienteering skills around the beautiful scenery, historic bridleways and rights of way in this South Western corner of the Lake District.  Classes available for individuals and pairs.

Also available for parties of 2 or more, Classic Day Ride including parking, pub lunch and afternoon tea at the farm £40ppn. Discount for larger groups. Ride the shores of Windermere, or Coniston, ride the land of  Beatrix Potter and experience some fantastic views. Dates available to suit.
