Field Officers

Every member of the NLBS is a Field Officer in their own area and is asked to ride and check the bridleways and notify the Chairman (Chairperson@nlbs.org.uk) or Secretary (Secretary@nlbs.org.uk) of any problems. 

Suggestions for Field Officers:

1. Build up a good local knowledge of bridleways(and their condition) in your area.  
2. Receive information from other members, other horse riders and the general public in your area regarding any problems on bridleways
3. Pass this information to the Field Officers Co-ordinator or Chairman and suggest/help to implement a solution
4. Advise members on definitive rights of ways, permissive routes (with any ground rules), known paths ridden by locals and any proposed routes to be looked at
5. Liaise with landowners, farmers, land agents, tenants and local authorities, with the help of Field Officers Co-ordinator or Chairman over issues in their area.

Remember you are representing North Lancashire Bridleways Society at all times and help or advice is always on hand.
